professional standards and ethical principles through the joint efforts and
responsibility of all members and to be an active representative of civil society in Bulgaria.
The Association pursues the following objectives:
• to provide support to members in their professional endeavours;
• to ensure better qualification for its members in order to improve quality;
• to protect the professional interests of members;
• to encourage professional cooperation and contacts among members;
• to ensure better awareness on substantive professional issues;
• to maintain contacts with kindred organizations in the country and abroad.

is a not-for-profit, non-governmental professional association founded in 1996 in Sofia, Bulgaria.
It pools together some 100 professional conference interpreters and translators in va- rious languages who form the
main body of conference interpreters in the country.
